OPTOMETRISTS

Our optometrists are committed to providing comprehensive eye care of the highest quality to you, your family, and our community. We promise to thoroughly explain your eye health status and vision needs with emphasis on preventative care, resulting in an enhanced quality of life.  

Dr. Wellington Bentley graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1992. He is originally from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario and moved to Barrie when he graduated. He practiced downtown Barrie until his wife, Kristen, graduated. At that time they set up their own practice together. They have 3 young sons.

Leisure time activities include family time, travel and skiing.

Dr. Kristen Bentley graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1995. She is originally from Sudbury, Ontario and moved to Barrie after graduation. She works part time while raising her young family.

Leisure time activities include family time, travel, cooking, and time with friends.

Dr. Kim Lalonde graduated from the University of Montreal in 1999. She is also from Sudbury, Ontario and moved to Barrie after living in Windsor, Ontario for several years. Kim provides services in French and English. She has 2 young daughters.

Leisure time activities include family time, reading, and scrapbooking.

OUR STAFF

Our friendly staff is dedicated to providing care in an atmosphere of compassion and respect.  

Sharron Duncan is originally from P.E.I and has lived in Barrie for 26 years. Sharron has worked in the eye care and vision field for 17 years. She has been working with us since the practice opened in 1995. She is a valued member of the team and very familiar to our well established patients. Our patients look forward to seeing her smiling face when they come to the office.

Kathy Jupp is a native of Barrie. She has also been an important part of the practice since we opened in 1995. Her original duties were part time, behind the scenes while she was raising her son. In 2000, her duties expanded tremendously and since then she contributes in a significant way to the efficiency and enjoyable atmosphere of the office.

Debbie Burch has also lived in Barrie for 22 years. She has been with our practice for 4 ½ years and has fit right in from the moment she arrived. She is an extremely hard worker who will go out of her way to ensure service and patient care is a priority. Her contribution to the team is immeasurable.

Rob Cober is our newest Barrie Native. He has been an insurmountable team member since early 2005. He is a licensed Optician and graduated from Georgian College. He is our Frame and Lens Specialist and practices with the same leading edge philosophy that our practice believes in. We are confident that he will understand and solve all of your eyewear needs to improve your quality of life through your vision needs.

Our Location

Barrie Vision Centre is approaching its 14 th year of operation at 221 Cundles Rd. East in Barrie, Ontario.

It was formerly named Drs' Wellington and Kristen Bentley's office and was located in a different unit in the same plaza.

In September 2004, a move was made to a larger unit to better serve our patients.

We firmly believe in maintaining a standard of care that is cutting edge and obtaining the most advanced diagnostic equipment available in our field.  

As a result, after 9 years in our original office we grew out of the space we had. The move has been exciting for us, our staff and our valued patients.
